Nuclear Engineering Colloquium - April 2, 2008 - Jasmina Vujic Research and Educational Highlights at the Department of Nuclear Engineering, UC Berkeley This year the Department of Nuclear Engineering at UC Berkeley is celebrating the 50th anniversary. From the very beginning, it become one of the best NE departments in the Nation, providing excellent education at the undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate level, and performing world-class research across all nuclear engineering disciplines, utilizing resources available within the University and through our unique National Laboratory partnership. With the Nation going through the renaissance and exponential growth in nuclear field, the NE Department is poised to continue with its significant role in educating the next generation of experts and contributing to the cutting-edge research in several strategic areas. This presentation will review the highlights of research and education at the NE Department, and discuss some strategic visions.
