The Human Skeleton and Forensics (The Body Farm)
Police are occasionally called upon to identify decaying bodies, burned bodies or skeletal remains. Forensic Anthropology can aid law enforcement agencies in the positive identification of individuals burned or decayed beyond the normal means of identification such as morphological and/or anatomical features or finger, palm or foot prints. Concentrating on individuals burned in fires Dr. Bass will explain and illustrate how Forensic Anthropology can help investigators of crime scenes discover length of time since death, and the age, sex, race and stature of the deceased.
